Siemens Selects Tableau for Visual Analytics

SEATTLE, Wash., Oct. 23 — Tableau Software today announced that the Siemens Energy Sector has selected Tableau for its visual analytics. Siemens employees will use Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server and will allow employees to connect to live data and perform visual, rapid-fire analysis. The result will be faster and better decisions and insights. Siemens chose Tableau for its ease-of-use approach and its flexibility.

“As volumes of data continue to grow, data analytics are becoming more important for companies to remain competitive and make strategic decisions,” said James Eiloart, Vice President of Tableau in Europe. “Now the employees of Siemens Energy are able to quickly analyze and visualize large amounts of data, saving the company time and money.”

“Data analytics are critical for us to keep up with the increasing amounts of data. We chose Tableau because it is fast, flexible and cost-efficient. With the help of Tableau we are now able to run visual analytics in minutes instead of hours,” says Markus Lahmer, from Siemens Energy IT.
