Recruit Technologies Deploys HDP for Analytics

Oct. 26 — Hortonworks, Inc. (NASDAQ: HDP), a leading innovator of open and connected data platforms, today announced that Recruit Technologies Co., Ltd. has selected Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) for its data analytics platform. As a strategic partner, Hortonworks will offer connected data platform expertise on collecting, accumulating and analyzing big data to support Recruit Technologies’ mission to develop and implement its business in a highly competitive IT environment. Recruit Technologies’ Internet marketing platform powered by HDP will meet the future needs of its customers.

Recruit Technologies had previously used siloed analytics solutions to analyze and process data including recommendations and ledger reports. As analytics and batch processing accelerated and its metrics and reporting needs became more diversified, the company was faced with the need to proactively modernize its data architecture. In addition, Recruit Technologies saw a yearly increase in the number of data analysts given the its growing need for data use across the company. To address this issue, Recruit Technologies is working with Hortonworks to adopt a connected data platforms architecture with Apache Hadoop as a central component.
