Looker Launches Support for Amazon Athena

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., Jan. 23 — Looker today launched support for Amazon Athena – the new interactive query service for data in Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) that AWS unveiled at its re:Invent conference in November. The Looker connection to Amazon Athena is available immediately.

Because Looker’s unique platform design is built to leverage modern data architectures, it can scale effortlessly – even to massive scale – by taking advantage of the newest database technologies. By using Looker with Athena, businesses can now leverage the power and speed of AWS’s newest query engine to easily explore vast amounts of data stored in Amazon S3.
