Denodo Broadens Cloud Offering With Support for Microsoft Azure
PALO ALTO, Calif., March 22, 2018 — Denodo, a leader in data virtualization, today announced the availability of the Denodo Platform through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace with a subscription based offering. Denodo Platform on Azure enables enterprises to quickly deploy data virtualization on a flexible, pay-as-you-go basis. This solution enables organizations to scale up or down instantaneously with the increase or decrease in infrastructure for virtual machines. Also, it enables organizations to swiftly scale out through cluster based subscription, and leverage the load balancer that is offered through standard Microsoft tools. Denodo Platform in the Cloud can also be deployed on AWS, Heroku, and Google Cloud platforms.
Cloud computing and cloud based storage are growing exponentially in market share and are expected to increase at an even faster rate in the future. Organizations across a wide range of industries are digitally transforming through projects involving cloud modernization, hybrid cloud architecture, or cloud based analytics. While organizations are adopting cloud solutions faster than ever, industry pundits believe that for the foreseeable future most organizations will adopt a hybrid cloud platform, with data residing both on-premises and in the cloud.
Sajan Parihar, Director, Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft Corp. said, “Through Microsoft Azure Marketplace, customers around the world can easily find, buy, and deploy partner solutions they can trust, all certified and optimized to run on Azure. We’re happy to welcome Denodo’s solution to the growing Azure Marketplace ecosystem.”
Many Denodo customers either have their applications running in the cloud or they have subscribed to SaaS based applications. Most of these customers leveraged data virtualization by hosting a standalone Denodo license on their own subscribed cloud. With Denodo in the Azure Marketplace, all of these customers can deploy the Denodo Platform in a matter of minutes. Additionally, customers have another option to create a hybrid data fabric that integrates both cloud and on-premises apps and data. The Denodo Platform also provides unified data access and a strong security and governance layer for enterprise data.
“We are thrilled to announce the availability of the Denodo Platform through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace,” said Ravi Shankar, CMO at Denodo. “We already have a broad presence in the cloud, and with the inclusion of the Denodo Platform in one of the largest cloud provider marketplaces, we are becoming a major driver of cloud migration for many small to large size enterprises around the world. Our platform’s in-memory massive parallel processing, dynamic query optimization, and data governance capabilities in a hybrid cloud scenario will add tremendous value across the enterprise.”
