Rosslyn Analytics Pioneers Analytics-as-a-Service on Microsoft Azure

May 19 —   Rosslyn Analytics, a global leader in big data cloud technology, today announced that it is one of the first to offer companies Analytics-as-a-Service on Azure.

“Traditional data warehousing has failed to keep pace with the ever changing information needs of the business,” said Charles Clark, CEO of Rosslyn Analytics. “Rosslyn Analytics has addressed the greatest data challenge facing all organizations, which is delivering relevant and high quality data to decision-makers.”

Rosslyn Analytics has developed a dynamic big data cloud analytics platform, powered by Azure, which provides self-service management of every stage of the data journey, from source to analytics. Uniquely, business and IT users are able to directly interact with, change and analyze data using a combination of self-service data integration, cleansing and enrichment tools and machine learning and visualization technologies.

“Though valuable, simply having a visualization tool to analyze data isn’t enough today,” said Garth Fort, General Manager of the Cloud & Enterprise Partner Group at Microsoft. “Rosslyn Analytics is utilizing Azure to disrupt the business intelligence market built on traditional data warehousing architecture.  The company’s RAPid Big Data Cloud Analytics Platform – with embedded integration, cleansing, enrichment, analysis and visualization tools – gives business users the power to be in control of obtaining, improving and managing the relevancy and quality of data required for effective decision-making.”

Rosslyn Analytics’ RAPid Big Data Cloud Analytics Platform is further enhanced, to the benefit of current and future clients and partners, by leveraging the many data services and applications available on the Azure Marketplace including Hadoop Insights, Python and R without ever having to buy or code software.

Converged data architecture

The RAPid Big Data Cloud Analytics Platform is fast becoming the new standard in the adaptive distribution and management of data and self-service analytics due to its converged data architecture that incorporates mission-critical data technologies seamlessly integrated and delivered as a service to clients and partners.

Unlike traditional on premise business intelligence deployments, RAPid provides a massively scalable data storage, processing and analytics platform, supported by SQL and Hadoop, designed for:

  • Business users to search for and create new sources of information and views “in the now” based on any available data, structured and un-structured, including knowledge from internal and external stakeholders.
  • IT teams to quickly develop, test and deliver new analytical apps in hours using quality and relevant data collaboratively enhanced by business users on the fly.

This dual-role is possible because RAPid has been built on advanced architecture including a personalized data warehouse in the cloud with write-back capability. This patent-pending innovation dramatically improves the performance and speed of data transformation and management for and by business users.

The RAPid Platform is built to process both structured and unstructured data in one layer, allowing users to query, cleanse, enrich and analyze their data with the level of accuracy and sophistication that has not been possible to date. This technical feat enables IT teams to support both operational and analytical apps on one platform, significantly reducing costs while accelerating value creation from data.
