Guavus Announces Participation in Three Catalyst Projects

SAN MATEO, Calif., May 4 — Guavus, Inc., a leading provider of big data analytics applications for operational intelligence, today announced its participation in three Catalyst projects, sponsored by the TM Forum, the global industry association for digital business. Guavus will join CSPs and leading technology suppliers to demonstrate these proof-of-concept projects that leverage TM Forum best practices and standards to create innovative solutions for Omnichannel Marketing, Data Monetization and Smart Health. The Catalyst projects will be demonstrated at TM Forum Live!, May 9-12 in Nice, France.

“Catalysts are member-driven, rapid prototype projects which create innovative solutions to important industry challenges,” said Nik Willetts, Deputy CEO, TM Forum. “We extend our appreciation to Guavus and all of our members who are helping the industry to uncover new use cases for emerging technologies such as IoT and data analytics, especially in the context of developing new ecosystems of partners in which CSPs play a crucial role.”

Guavus is contributing its expertise in operational analytics, which provide a holistic view of the service and customer experience alongside CSPs and technology partners in the following Catalyst projects:

  • Big Data Openness for Application Development Ecosystem:
This Catalyst features an open framework, which enables CSPs to monetize data both internally and externally, giving multiple players including various business units within the CSP and third party partners such as advertisers and content providers access to audience data with proper permissions. Guavus analytics processes, correlates and contextualizes the data in real time from the framework, which enables CSPs to identify the next best offer for customer retention or upsell. The framework can also provide transport optimization, helping civic authorities in defining and optimizing public and tourist transport network.
  • Omnichannel Collaboration Experience:
Using Guavus’ predictive analytics system, CSPs can provide customers with proactive and personalized actions for their device issues before customers find out about the problem and contact customer care.
  • Smart Health: Anywhere Point-of-Care Diagnostics:
This project showcases the ability to diagnose infection remotely by using small medical test machines that connect to smartphones via an M2M/IoT platform. By analyzing a small blood or saliva sample on the device, the data can be transferred to a medical center to be further diagnosed. Guavus technology fuses medical test data with location/date/time and external data sources (e.g. population, demographic) to provide insights that can be used to improve healthcare delivery and resource allocation.

We look forward to working with our CSP and technology partners to help advance the use cases for analytics frameworks that integrate enterprise-wide data and enable CSPs and enterprises to predict and take action proactively,” Gabriele Di Piazza, SVP Products and Marketing for Guavus. “The feedback from these Catalyst solutions not only helps us answer key questions and advance business use cases, but they also ensure interoperability for all the key technology components in the solution.”
