Continuum Releases Anaconda Cluster

AUSTIN, Tex., Oct. 15 — Continuum Analytics, the premier provider of Python-based data analytics solutions and services, today announced the release of Anaconda Cluster. Continuum’s enterprise Python distribution for data analytics, Anaconda Server, is moving to the Hadoop and Spark infrastructures. Anaconda Cluster is a highly-scalable cluster resource management tool that lets data scientists streamline deployment without rework.

The field of data science has significantly grown in response to an emphasis on big data across several industries. Many organizations are discovering that their existing search and analysis techniques are not adequate to keep up. For many enterprise level data scientists, the answer has been Hadoop clusters. These clusters distribute the data analysis workload across multiple cluster nodes that work to process the data in parallel. However, there is a significant learning curve associated with building, operating and supporting a Hadoop cluster. To alleviate this issue, Anaconda Cluster closes the gap between the latest methods and the IT infrastructure.

“We’re closing the gap between innovation and IT,” says Continuum’s Chief Science Officer, Andy Terrel. “We want to make it less of an IT process to get updates on a cluster. By using and creating Anaconda cluster, you cut this time significantly and it helps with reproducibility.”
