Actian and Hortonworks to Embark on Multi-City Tour

Actian Corporation (“Actian”), the first company to deliver an end-to-end analytics platform that runs natively in Hadoop, is embarking on a multi-city tour with Hortonworks and other leaders in the big data arena. The series of one-day seminars offers an open discussion on how to start the journey to a modern data architecture and unlock the potential for Hadoop in any organization. Attendees will:

  • Gain insight into the business value derived from Hadoop
  • Understand the technical role of Hadoop within the data center
  • Look at the future of Hadoop as presented by the builders and architects of the platform

The tour makes its first stop in Atlanta, Georgia, on Wednesday, September 9th from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. ET at Hadoop and the Modern Data Architecture Roadshow at the OMNI Hotel at CNN Center. Registration and the rest of the schedule can be found here.

A transformation is occurring in the data center. Enterprises are turning to a modern data architecture in order to derive maximum value from both big and small data across their organization. They are building new analytic apps that unlock opportunity and allow them to maintain or create competitive edge. Apache Hadoop is at the center of this architecture and integrates with the technologies that run your business to augment and extend this new value.

By combining the Hortonworks Data Platform, the industry’s only 100-percent open source Hadoop distribution, with the YARN Ready Actian Analytics Platform, organizations have access to industrialized Hadoop with comprehensive enterprise capabilities for data management, data access, data governance, integration, security and operations.
