Syntasa Joins Hortonworks Technology Partner Program

March 24 — Syntasa today announced it has joined the Hortonworks Technology Partner Program to offer an Analytics as a Service (AaaS) platform on enterprise Apache Hadoop.

The Syntasa analytic applications focus on addressing specific business challenges by delivering real-time decision science results, not just a toolset for developing analytics.

Utilizing Hortonworks Data Platform, the industry’s only 100-percent open source Apache Hadoop distribution, Syntasa is able to immediately scale Big Data Analytics for real-time ingestion, algorithm execution and output to dramatically change the speed and understanding of business decisions.

Example applications from Syntasa are in the online retail-marketing sector driving content personalization and more effective campaign management. Additional applications targeted in the U.S. federal government sector and financial services sector include cyber threat detection and fraud detection.

“The big data analytics market to date has been hampered by scarce talent capable of implementing Hadoop clusters and integrating massive data sets from internal and external sources without having the right analytics tools at hand,” said Jay Marwaha, president and CEO of Syntasa.

“Hortonworks is the natural platform for Syntasa’s real-time Analytics as a Service offering. Our combined solution provides a scalable platform able to aggregate and integrate data from social media, machine and sensor activity, browser behavior, geo-location and mobile device activity, IP addresses, purchasing history, weather patterns and trends, census information and many others.”
