Google Cloud and MongoDB Announce Partnership Expansion

March 9, 2023 — Google Cloud and MongoDB have announced a major partnership expansion, which includes plans to double the scope of Google Cloud infrastructure that MongoDB needs to support accelerating adoption of Atlas.

The expansion includes a number of focus areas and new initiatives, including:

  • Deepen product integrations: MongoDB and Google Cloud will launch new integrations that make the MongoDB-BigQuery connection more seamless, enrich data with Google Cloud’s leading AI/ML capabilities, and address evolving data regulations with sovereign data offerings.
  • New initiative supporting startups: This new, joint initiative will bring together resources that get startups up-and-running on MongoDB quickly; credits for both MongoDB and Google Cloud products; onboarding support; and tooling to meet the specific technology needs of startups–like infrastructure that can quickly scale up or down with demand.
  • Expanding go-to-market initiatives: The companies are deepening their joint go-to-market initiatives, including bringing customer-facing implementation, engineering, and field teams closer together to accelerate customers’ time-to-value, and giving customers more choice and flexibility for deploying Atlas on Google Cloud.

The Google Cloud-MongoDB relationship is built on a shared commitment to keeping data open. Moving forward, the companies will continue to invest in areas that help customers break down data silos and empower them to build using data from any source, in any location, on any platform.
