Datanami Unveils 2019 People to Watch

SAN DIEGO, Calif., February 12, 2019 – Datanami, the leading publication dedicated to providing insight, analysis, and up-to-the-minute information about emerging trends and solutions in big data, today announced its People to Watch for 2019. This feature highlights key community members who are poised to drive the industry forward in the coming year.

“Each year, the Datanami editorial board comes together to identify the most influential members of the big data community,” said Datanami Managing Editor Alex Woodie. “We scour the community, looking for those accomplished individuals whom we believe are most likely to have the biggest impacts in the coming year.”

Twelve people are honored in 2019, the fourth consecutive year of the Datanami People to Watch program. Considering the continued growth and dynamism of the big data market, selecting just 12 individuals from a field with many thousands of thought leaders was difficult.

“Being selected as an honoree is no small feat,” Woodie continued. “This selection serves as recognition of their past success. But more importantly, it’s a representation of the potential we believe these individuals possess. We look forward to watching their growth and community contributions in the year to come.”
