GoGrid Announces New Partnership with Cloudera

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Nov. 18 — GoGrid, an infrastructure-as-a-service leader specializing in multi-cloud solutions, today unveiled its new partnership with Cloudera, the leader in enterprise analytic data management powered by Apache Hadoop, providing companies with a fast and easy way to evaluate and run the market-leading platform for Big Data through Cloudera Live. To run the program, Cloudera has taken advantage of GoGrid’s 1-Button Deploy orchestration process, empowering companies to get started on CDH in a matter of hours, rather than weeks or months.

With Cloudera Live, customers get a cloud-based environment that allows users to learn the basics of CDH (Cloudera’s open-source distribution including Apache Hadoop) through pre-loaded tutorials. Run on GoGrid’s high-performance cloud infrastructure with 1-Button Deploy™ orchestration, companies can immediately spin up a four-node cluster of CDH for free and begin to analyze, search and visualize preloaded data sets or load in their own data to get started. Currently, the partnership also enables companies to run integrated trials of Tableau and Zoomdata, the latest visualization and real-time analytics tools, on top of the CDH platform, with additional partner trials to follow.

Speedy Deployment and User-Friendly Tutorials Deliver Instant Success

Instead of spending weeks or months on research, configuration and deployment, GoGrid’s 1-Button Deploy™ gets enterprises up and running with a complete Cloudera solution, including the necessary infrastructure, on day one. Along with speedy deployment, the Cloudera Live trial offers a user-friendly tutorial that demonstrates the basics of Hadoop, the latest features of CDH, and the extended capabilities of the platform through familiar partner tools Tableau and Zoomdata.

The trial provides optimized data sets so companies can immediately begin evaluating the platform through real-world scenarios. The Cloudera Live trial also allows companies that have already done the necessary “data wrangling” to load their own data sets onto the cloud-based infrastructure.

“Companies today recognize the enormous potential of Big Data solutions, but still struggle to find ways to evaluate and implement them in a timely and cost-effective manner,” said GoGrid CEO John Keagy. “Our partnership with Cloudera gives these businesses a chance to experience the power of the leading analytic data management platform immediately, without expending IT resources on installation and deployment.”
