Zoomdata and Cloudera Partner to Deliver Customer Insights Solution

NEW YORK, N.Y., Sept. 26 — Zoomdata, developers of the world’s fastest visual analytics platform for big data, today announced a partnership to deliver a Customer Insights Solution with Cloudera, the global provider of the fastest, easiest, and most secure data management and analytics platform built on Apache Hadoop and the latest open source technologies. The Customer Insights Solution combines the visual analytics of Zoomdata with the power of Cloudera Enterprise as an Analytic Database to provide an optimally configured and high performance solution for businesses to better understand the needs of even the largest customer bases.

Markerstudy, a fast-growing provider of specialized auto insurance in the U.K., sells through thousands of agents and brokers, who request tens of millions of customized price quotes daily. The quotes must be customized because of widely diverse risk factors, demographics, and coverage needs. Using the customized combination of Cloudera and Zoomdata, the company quickly deployed a system to more effectively analyze customer buying behavior.

“We can now analyze billions of quote transactions in seconds — instead of processing only a small subset over a seven-hour period,” said Nick Turner, enterprise data architect, Markerstudy. “The time savings lets us respond almost instantly to quote requests, resulting in greater sales and enhanced service to both customers and agents. We’ve also reduced claims costs by £ 5-million (USD$7.1-million) thanks to enhanced fraud detection. And because we better understand our customers and can provide instant, accurate pricing, customer cancellation rates have been cut in half.”

“Most companies aspire to have a 360 degree view of their customers, but fail,” said Nick Halsey, chief marketing officer of Zoomdata. “Now with Zoomdata and Cloudera every company has the opportunity, with the Customer Insights Solution, to achieve significant business benefits. And partners can quickly customize this solution for their clients.”

“With the extensibility and programmability of Zoomdata, we can customize the Customer Insight Solution to meet the specific needs of each client,” said Chandra Ambadipudi, founder and chief executive officer at Clairvoyant LLC, a leading technology consulting and services company with presence in North America and Asia. “The more our clients know about their customers, the better they can serve them.”

The Customer Insights Solution is available now, and will be showcased at Strata+Hadoop World, New York City at 6:00pm, Tuesday, September 27 at the Cloudera booth #721. Visitors can also see the solution throughout the show at the Zoomdata booth #332. Visit Zoomdata Customer Insights to learn more.
