VoltDB Elevates David Flower to CEO

BEDFORD, Mass., March 29, 2017 — VoltDB, the enterprise-class in-memory database that powers business-critical applications, today announced the appointment of David Flower to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. He had most recently served as the company’s Chief Revenue Officer.

Flower brings nearly three decades of IT leadership experience to VoltDB. He has repeatedly built shareholder value for global software companies, and will focus primarily on expanding VoltDB’s worldwide footprint in specific markets.

Since joining VoltDB as Chief Revenue Officer last year, Flower has re-architected the company’s go-to-market strategy, achieving:

– Industry alignment with deep domain expertise;

– Expanded value-based messaging to more effectively demonstrate core product value;

– Deeper investment into IoT;

– Restructuring of Sales & Marketing by vertical; and

– International expansion to support the rapid growth of global clients.

Prior to joining VoltDB, Flower served as Vice President EMEA for Carbon Black Inc. He has held senior executive positions in numerous successful global software companies, including Everbridge (NASDAQ: EVBG), as Senior Vice President International; Compuware, as Vice President EMEA (APM division) and UK Managing Director; Gomez, as Vice President EMEA; and MapInfo, where he served as Group Vice President, International. He also held senior management roles at Lotus Development and Xerox.
