Sisense Expands Presence in Australia to Support Growing Demand for Business Intelligence, Data Analytics

MELBOURNE, Australia, Feb. 11, 2020 — Sisense, the world’s leading analytics platform for builders, today announced that it is expanding its presence across Australia with a new office in Sydney and new sales hires. The growing Sisense APAC team is led by an experienced regional vice president of APAC for Sisense, Eyal Mekler. Mekler is a seasoned business development and sales leader with 15 years’ experience and a deep understanding of local market dynamics and business needs. Sisense’s expansion supports the growing demand of local technology organizations who are at the forefront of using data at scale to transform their businesses and drive better business outcomes.“We’re doubling down in Australia to serve a hungry customer base and grow our operations, and even gained local support from the Victorian State Government. Eyal Mekler is the force multiplier for us in this region,” said Amir Orad, CEO. “He brings both local and global experience to the role with a great track record of scaling teams across APAC for technology companies such as Tealium, Medallia, and Experian. As demand for modern analytics applications accelerates, Eyal leading the team is helping us scale to meet this surge in demand even further.”

Customer and Partner Expansion

Sisense has experienced demand for its analytics platform before there was even a local team on the ground. And since officially opening its doors in Melbourne in July 2019, Sisense has grown its APAC client base across the advertising, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology sectors. As one example, the likes of 2019 Deloitte Technology Fast50 award-winning financial technology company, Sargon, has leveraged the power of Sisense’s analytics platform to create greater visibility, efficiencies, and intelligence across its internal operations, its SaaS platform, and the funds and financial products that the company powers.

“As a fast-growing Australian company, we’re excited to select Sisense to enable insights and data-driven decision-making across the organization,” said Sargon’s chief technology officer, Daniel Wirjoprawiro. “After only a few months, we were able to quickly prototype, automate, and produce critical self-service reports and in-depth analytics for boards and key stakeholders across the business.”

Sisense is the top BI and analytics choice for many others in the region. Leading Australian talent acquisition and management platform, LiveHire Ltd (ASX:LVH), provides live, on-platform business intelligence and analytics to all its customers across Australia and New Zealand. LiveHire’s chief products & technology officer, Antonluigi Gozzi, said he chose Sisense amongst a long list of 40 global providers, all competing in this hot space of business analytics and big data.

“Sisense’s platform stood out for us because it has incredible capability, security, and flexibility, and the support has been sensational,” Gozzi said. “And after only six months of implementation, with a very supportive team, we’ve already managed to deliver our product successfully to about 100 organizations and thousands of users in the region. Sisense’s powerful platform is a very welcome partner for us. So it’s no surprise there’s fast and wide adoption of this technology across the ANZ region already, not only for our clients, but also across hospitals, manufacturing, financial, and technology companies.”

Sisense is also building its strategic partner ecosystem locally. Melbourne-based analytics-centric leader Mondelio Worldwide, is an implementation partner it’s relying on to help deliver at the scale it needs in the region.

“It’s an exciting time for data and analytics in the APAC region, especially given the explosion we’re seeing in how data is being leveraged by organizations as a strategic asset,” said Eyal Mekler, regional vice president of APAC for Sisense. “Even better, data is becoming democratized across all levels of the business function to ensure everyone is aligned. I joined Sisense because I saw organizations of all sizes signing up for its flexible, complete platform to use data to make better, more informed, and intelligent decisions across all facets of the business. And I knew this was going to be game-changing for data analytics in APAC.”

Innovation and Analyst Accolades

With offices throughout Australia, Sisense’s expansion comes on the heels of debuting a major product integration milestone just six months since its Periscope Data (since renamed Sisense for Cloud Data Teams) merger, new analytics innovations with the Sisense Q4 product releasenew additions to Sisense’s global leadership team, as well as a series of significant accolades. 2019 was a banner year for Sisense as it was named a leader among enterprise business intelligence platforms in the latest Forrester Wave, as an industry leader in business intelligence in Dresner’s Wisdom of Crowds study, and hailed by Gartner as a visionary in the Magic Quadrant for Analytics and Business Intelligence.
