Pentaho’s ‘Better Together’ Tour to Begin March 5th

LONDON, U.K., March 3 — Delivering the future of analytics, Pentaho today announces its ‘Better Together’ European city tour, kicking off in London on Wednesday March 5th at the Institute of Directors, with further events planned across Europe. The half-day events are organised in association with MongoDB, the leading NoSQL database, and invites business and IT leaders to explore how analytics and big data will change business today and in the near future. Delegates will have the opportunity to learn more about the expanding big data ecosystem, popular use cases and techniques for blending traditional and big data to create better business outcomes.

Highlights of the London event include:

  • Clive Longbottom, founder of industry analyst firm Quocirca, will be keynote speaker at the London event, expanding on new approaches to data analytics in his talk Analytics Exploration – Today and Tomorrow.
  • Pentaho customer, Sasha Korniak of London recycling company Bywaters will reveal how his company and its customers are becoming more data-driven through an analytics system that blends several data sources for more informed decision making.
  • Further sessions with Pentaho partners including Luca Olivari of MongoDB and Graham Gear of Cloudera demonstrate the power of combining business analytics with the most popular big data technologies such as NoSQL and Hadoop. 
  • Practical sessions and demos from Pentaho on data integration and data visualization will complete the agenda.

Upcoming ‘Better Together’ events are taking place in Eindhoven on March 20th in the Hotel Eindhoven, and in Paris and Frankfurt with dates to be confirmed. All events are no-cost for qualified delegates and will include breakfast and networking lunch.
