MapR has also entered into a partnership agreement with IT service provider, LG CNS. Under the terms of the agreement, LG CNS will provide system integration and consulting services across Korea for the MapR Distribution for Hadoop and NoSQL.

LG CNS is a global IT service provider with expertise in big data technology in Korea. It identified the MapR Distribution for Hadoop as the right platform to allow organizations to vastly improve their big data analytics initiatives. “We recognize MapR as a leader in Hadoop technology with unique enterprise-grade features that bring dependability, ease-of-use and world-record speed to Hadoop, NoSQL, database and streaming applications in one unified big data platform,” said Young-Ik Park, vice president, advanced analytics business unit, LG CNS.

During the last six months, MapR has expanded its footprint in the region establishing an office in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo which joins Asia Pac headquarters in Singapore under the direction of Vice President, Asia Pacific/Japan, Martin Darling. Martin brings to MapR a successful track record of cultivating high-impact sales and marketing teams and building sustainable, high-performance sales operations across Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).

Most recently, MapR delivered the M7 Edition, an enterprise-grade platform for NoSQL and Hadoop, providing unique ease of use, dependability and performance advantages. M7 has removed the trade-offs organizations face when looking to deploy a NoSQL solution. M7 not only delivers enterprise-grade features such as Instant Recovery, Snapshots and Mirroring but also provides scale, strong consistency, reliability and continuous low latency.
