MapR Announces Upcoming November Presentations

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 28 — MapR Technologies, Inc., provider of the top-ranked distribution for Apache Hadoop that integrates web-scale enterprise storage and real-time database capabilities, today announced its upcoming presentations at conferences and meetups in November 2015. TDWI Solution Summit Scottsdale 

The TDWI Solution Summit brings together experienced professionals, industry thought leaders, and top solution providers to discuss real-world tips and best practices for harnessing the power of big data analytics. Steve Wooledge, MapR vice president, product marketing, will present, “Hadoop and Data Warehousing: How to Get Started,” on Monday, November 2 at 11:00 a.m.

Big Data Everywhere New York

Big Data Everywhere in New York is a half-day conference aimed at helping attendees learn how financial services firms, such as Morgan Stanley, Pico, and Wells Fargo, are leveraging Big Data and Hadoop. Ted Dunning, MapR chief application architect, will lead a session titled, “Secure Collaboration on Big Data: Locking Down, Doesn’t Mean Locking Out,” on Wednesday, November 4 at 9:15 AM.

Big Data TechCon

Big Data TechCon features practical, how-to classes and tutorials for IT and Big Data professionals. Titled, “Rethinking SQL and Database Design with Apache Drill,” MapR Director, Enterprise Strategy and Architecture, Jim Scott will present on Wednesday, November 4 at 2:30 PM.

Big Data Expo West

Big Data Expo West is the place where attendees can see the technologies and use cases that are delivering Big Data to enterprise IT. Titled, “Apache Hadoop and NoSQL as the Analysis Engines for Internet-of-Things Data,” MapR Director of Industry Solutions, Dale Kim will lead this session on Wednesday, November 4 at 4:20 PM.

Global Big Data Conference

This Big Data Bootcamp is a vendor agnostic, technical overview of the Big Data landscape with a specific focus on Hadoop, NoSQL & Machine Learning. MapR Director of Professional Services, Sridhar Reddy is hosting an HBase Workshop on Friday, November 13 at 1:00 PM.
