KIOXIA America to Showcase Next-Gen SSDs at Dell Technologies World

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 21, 2020 –This week at the Dell Technologies World Digital Experience, KIOXIA America, Inc. (formerly Toshiba Memory America, Inc.), will showcase its lineup of next-gen, flash-based solid state drives (SSDs) upgrading performance in server and storage application solutions. A Diamond-level conference sponsor, KIOXIA has collaborated with Dell for over 20 years to create best-in-class storage solutions.

KIOXIA products can be found in multiple Dell solutions throughout their client and enterprise product lines – from business and gaming laptops to PowerEdge servers, VX solutions, and all flash storage arrays. At the virtual event, KIOXIA will highlight a wide variety of Dell PowerEdge server solutions that feature KIOXIA SSDs.

Storage architectures aren’t one-size-fits-all, and constructing solutions to address different demands, applications and use cases can present a variety of challenges. With one of the industry’s broadest SSD product lineup, KIOXIA gives IT professionals, storage administrators and infrastructure managers access to the right portfolio to modernize and transform their data centers.

“Successful digital transformation means faster flash storage, faster applications and faster decisions,” noted Alvaro Toledo, vice president of SSD marketing and product planning, KIOXIA America, Inc. “Having a broad mix of storage options is essential to this endeavor, and we are proud to work closely with Dell to offer comprehensive solutions for transformation strategies.”

Dell Technologies World Product Highlights:

CM6 Series PCIe 4.0 Enterprise NVMe SSDs: KIOXIA’s CM6 Series SSDs will be shown on a PowerEdge R7525 utilizing NVMe namespaces and boosting performance in a VMware vSAN environment.

Welcome to Life after SATA: KIOXIA will highlight its RM5 Series of Value SAS SSDs and CD5 Series of Data Center NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSDs. Demonstrations will show price/performance benefit in a variety of server and storage configurations and workloads, including PowerEdge MX and R740xd servers in a VMware vSAN cluster. The benefits of RM5 and CD5 SSDs over SATA in a PowerEdge R6515 for database analytics workloads will also be shown.

Enterprise and Data Center SSD Form Factor (EDSFF): KIOXIA will demonstrate a next-generation, flash storage-optimized E3.S full-function development vehicle in a prototype Dell EMC EDSFF-enabled storage system.
