Ken Kennedy AI and Data Science Conference Call for Participation and Program Announced

Aug. 4, 2021 — Data science is rapidly evolving as an essential interdisciplinary field, where advances often result from combinations of ideas from several disciplines. This annual conference is for professionals and practitioners working in machine learning, deep learning, data mining, artificial intelligence, or big data problems broadly. Recognizing that discovery and innovation happens at interfaces of disciplines and communities, the conference aims to bring together a diverse set of people from multiple communities spanning academia and industry.

Attended by 400 leaders and experts in person, the conference will strike a balance between applied and fundamental data science, and academia and industry. This combination of research and application discussion will create a venue for networking, collaboration, and partnership building.

The agenda for the conference includes invited keynote speakers, two-day technical program, exhibit hall, networking receptions, and student poster sessions. Wednesday, October 27 will be an add-on day that will include hands-on tutorial sessions and additional technical talks.

Call for Participation

Interested in being a speaker at the 5th Annual Ken Kennedy AI and Data Science Conference?

The Ken Kennedy Institute invites you to submit an abstract in consideration for giving a talk in the technical program during the conference on October 25-27, 2021.

Accepted abstracts will be asked to deliver a 15-minute presentation, including Q&A, as part of the conference program. Presentations will be live-streamed to those who are unable to attend in person.

This year we are asking authors to categorize abstracts into one of four different tracks:

  1. AI for Good
  2. Algorithms, Foundations, Visualizations, and Engineering Applications
  3. Business Impact/Industry
  4. Healthcare

Abstract submissions are due on August 20, 2021.

In addition to regular conference abstracts, we also encourage students and postdocs to submit abstracts for the Poster Session to present research that is relevant to the industry.
