PALO ALTO, Calif., Aug. 13, 2020 — Infoworks.io, provider of Enterprise Data Operations and Orchestration (EDO2) systems, announced that Infoworks DataFoundry for Databricks is now available as a free trial offer in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, an online store providing applications and solutions for use on Microsoft Azure. The trial offer features a new version of DataFoundry that incorporates an interactive assistant to guide users in the onboarding of data to Microsoft Azure and the development of advanced analytics use cases.

“Business value and efficiency become increasingly important during challenging times. DataFoundry for Databricks incorporates high levels of automation and integration to deliver outstanding results using minimal resources,” said Russ Barck, vice president, Strategic Alliances at Infoworks. “This is even more true when deploying DataFoundry for Databricks via the Azure Marketplace. The ability to rapidly create and iterate development of analytics use cases provides customers the critical business intelligence necessary to effectively implement and manage their digital transformation initiatives.”

Installing DataFoundry for Databricks in Microsoft Azure environments previously required IT involvement to set up Azure virtual machines, configure network parameters and other considerations. “Through Microsoft Azure Marketplace, customers around the world can easily find, buy and deploy partner solutions they can trust, all certified and optimized to run on Azure,” said Sajan Parihar, Senior Director, Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft Corp. “We’re happy to welcome Infoworks DataFoundry for Databricks to the growing Azure Marketplace ecosystem.”

DataFoundry for Databricks runs natively on Microsoft Azure and leverages underlying capabilities to optimize performance; the free trial includes an interactive guide, which provides step-by-step guidance on building use cases for onboarding, preparing and operationalizing data and analytics.

“DataFoundry simplifies and accelerates the onboarding of customer data and workloads into the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform,” said Pankaj Dugar, Vice President of Business Development and Technology Partners at Databricks. “Infoworks helps organizations leverage the powerful capabilities of Delta Lake and Apache Spark to operationalize their analytics workloads in the cloud, delivering high levels of reliability and data quality.”
