Infor Adds Next-Gen HCM Capabilities to Infor CloudSuite Healthcare

NEW YORKFeb. 14, 2018 — Infor, a leading provider of industry-specific cloud applications, today announced robust new Human Capital Management (HCM) tools for Infor CloudSuite Healthcare, a complete software platform that includes solutions for finance, supply chain, human capital, and clinical interoperability. This new functionality enables healthcare providers to recruit and maintain the best fit clinical and non-clinical teams, and unlock their potential to deliver better patient care and outcomes.

“Healthcare is a part of Infor’s DNA, with decades of deep industry expertise in areas like cost accounting, clinical interoperability, and provider insights, coupled with the latest in Human Capital and Financial Management, enabling us to help healthcare providers better fulfill their core mission of delivering the best possible outcomes and patient care,” said Mark Weber, senior vice president, Infor Healthcare Development. “As the needs of the healthcare industry change, providers must adapt and make the most effective and efficient use of their most valuable asset – their people.”

Infor CloudSuite Healthcare is a complete platform for healthcare that powers clinician and patient engagement, supports accurate cost accounting and analytics, and delivers FHIR® enabled applications, in addition to HR and financial management. New HR functionality that enhances Infor’s leading healthcare applications include:

  • Modernizing the payroll function. Infor plans to deliver new strategic applications and enhancements to customers around the world with the introduction of its next-generation payroll initiative.  Infor Global Human Resources Payroll (Global HR Payroll) is an integrated payroll application that will be added to the Global HR suite to further support customers’ HCM needs. For healthcare providers this means having a single system of record for their human resources integrated with all of the tools necessary to work more efficiently.
  • Allowing healthcare teams to work the way they live. Infor has added new mobile capabilities to the HCM suite to offer healthcare employees a modern mobile experience they’ve come to expect to mirror their personal lives. These capabilities include Shift Billboard, a new application that helps nurses view and pick up additional shifts from their mobile device. Flight Risk Indicator (FRI) to  reduce turnover by using a proprietary algorithm to analyze employee and company information to determine the risk of employees turning over within a given time, and then most importantly, offers prescriptive intervention suggestions coaching a manager on what they can do to help ensure a person stays with the organization. And, Infor Rave, which allows employees and managers to recognize employee excellence in real-time to boost team and individual engagement. Recognition is shared with the employee and their managers, and can be carried forward to the performance appraisal if desired.
  • Transforming HR into a more strategic partner. Significant updates to Infor HR Service Delivery will help healthcare organizations fully engage employees, all while lowering annual HR service delivery costs.  HR managers can focus on strategic issues while empowering employees to take control of routine transactions in a secure, self-service environment which will deliver better service with fewer resources, and empower employees to answer their own questions and resolve a majority of their inquiries through self-service transactions. Users will have access to modern, beautiful tools that will improve the delivery of HR services and realign talent so subject matter experts can do more strategic work and support the ultimate mission of providing the best patient care possible.

“The healthcare workforce is evolving at a fast pace, and organizations are constantly looking for a way to keep pace with the uptick in demand for services, which leads to a demand for workforce, and surges during different times of the year. Healthcare systems need to think differently about what it means to manage operations while keeping patient care the main priority,” said Trish McFarlane, vice president, Infor Human Capital Management. “Infor is able to help healthcare organizations navigate complicated scheduling, organization consolidation and mergers, training, and utilizing their data to make better business decisions with best-in-class HCM solutions that are tailored specifically to meet the needs of the healthcare industry.”
