Denodo Releases Trial Subscription for Denodo Platform in the Cloud

PALO ALTO, Calif., May 16, 2017 — Denodo today announced the availability of a new 30-day free trial subscription for Denodo Platform in the Cloud. Available on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace,Denodo’s AWS offering provides enterprises with the flexibility to scale vertically by increasing or reducing the infrastructure for their virtual machines from an AWS console. This solution enables organizations to scale horizontally by subscribing to multiple instances, and deploy a cluster with a load balancer using standard AWS tools. Denodo Platform in the Cloud can also be deployed on Azure, Heroku, Google Cloud and other cloud platforms.

Cloud computing will continue to grow in importance, as organizations seek to leverage the agility and flexibility that the cloud provides. However, in the foreseeable future, many organizations will run a hybrid information architecture based on a mix of on-premises and cloud-based data sources.

“Our Data and Analytics in the Cloud Research shows enterprises are benefitting from decreased cost and shortened time-to-market by moving analytic workloads to the cloud,” said David Menninger, Senior Vice President and Research Director, Ventana Research. “However, many enterprise systems still reside on-premises, creating the need for hybrid platforms. Nearly half of the participants (47 percent) integrate cloud and on-premises data and even more expect to do so in the future. Denodo helps simplify the movement to the cloud by providing seamless access to both on-premises and cloud sources.”

The Denodo Platform addresses this mixed environment by creating a hybrid data fabric that spans both cloud and on-premises solutions. It also provides a unified data access and a strong security and governance layer for enterprise data. The Denodo Platform runs seamlessly and provides this unified data fabric to support use cases that include cloud-to-cloud integration (e.g. SaaS applications), cloud-to-ground integration, migration of data sources/applications to cloud, and analytics in the cloud.

“We are witnessing enormous demand to move on-premises analytics workloads to the cloud. Using Snowflake’s data warehouse built for the cloud and Denodo, our customers are modernizing their data warehouse platforms and realizing considerable cost and performance benefits,” said Walter Aldana, VP of Alliances at Snowflake Computing. “Denodo makes migrating a data warehouse from on-premises to cloud seamless through its data virtualization layer.”

According to customers, Denodo Platform in the Cloud has delivered significant value such as:

“Our Denodo rollout was one of the easiest and most successful rollouts of critical enterprise software I have seen. We have been very successful in using Denodo as our central cloud security layer and as a data abstraction layer, via its web services functionality.” –  Mastanpasha Shaik – Big Data Architect at Asurion.

“We deployed the Denodo Platform to aid us in moving our data analytics platforms to the cloud, and Denodo’s data virtualization technology played a critical role in that journey. The Denodo Platform, already excellent, is constantly evolving, and getting better every day.” – Avinash Deshpande, Chief Software Architect, Logitech.
