Deloitte Introduces New Cloud-Based Analytics Solution

June 28 — Deloitte today announced a new cloud-based analytics solution to help life sciences and pharmaceutical companies transform their pharmacovigilance processes through data driven, actionable insights and management. The solution is part of a broader set of planned integrated ConvergeHEALTH analytics applications to address core challenges for life sciences organizations. Developed by Deloitte Consulting’s products and solutions practice, ConvergeHEALTH Safety (Safety) is a high-performance application that delivers easy-to-understand insights in the context of safety processes and helps improve decision making in real time.

As part of the offering, Deloitte has teamed with SAP to offer the SAP HANA in-memory computing platform as one of the strategic technology components for the Safety application and additional ConvergeHEALTH analytics applications. Building on SAP HANA will enable Safety and other ConvergeHEALTH applications to bring together data warehousing and operational reporting, real time processing and advanced visualization and data science and predictive analysis into a single solution to deliver an integrated and intuitive user experience.

The new safety application offers life sciences organizations a pre-built set of cloud-based management and analytics tools for responding to regulatory and scientific inquiries, performing proactive safety surveillance and managing quality and compliance functions to improve the pharmacovigilance process overall.

The ConvergeHEALTH Safety application is designed to improve users’ ability to:

• Visualize: Understand trends; investigate anomalies; develop and share analyses through powerful and flexible data visualizations from disparate data sources updated in near real time
• Report: Quickly curate data and generate standard reports; create new templates on the fly; reproduce reports and data sets as of any point in time
• Detect: Identify, investigate and manage signals in the data; collaborate and share signals and analyses with peers
• Manage: Create and manage reporting tasks to milestones; develop live executive dashboards; identify bottlenecks in processing
• Protect: Aggregate and store data in a PHI/PII HIPPA-secured private cloud hosted and managed by Deloitte
