CTC to Distribute Tableau Software in Japan

SEATTLE, Wash., Nov. 6 — Tableau Software today announced that it has concluded a distributor agreement in Japan with ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation for Tableau 8.0, the latest version of Tableau’s business analytics software, and that sales via CTC have begun. Tableau’s Japan subsidiary, Tableau Japan K.K. provides marketing and technical support.

Since it was established in 2003, Tableau has created a unique market by specializing in visual analytics. Tableau’s business intelligence software is designed to enable management personnel and staff in all divisions to easily and rapidly analyze data without IT assistance. It is already used by over 15,000 customer accounts, including government institutions, educational institutions such as universities, major corporations and small companies.

CTC launched a dedicated organization for business analytics in 1994, and has provided a one-stop service spanning from development to maintenance support of large-scale systems based a variety of analytics solutions such as business intelligence and data warehouses. The company has experience installing numerous systems in diverse fields such as logistics, telecommunication, manufacturing and finance, and develops and provides a variety of services and solutions related to Big Data such as “BD-Navi” that systemizes services supporting the utilization of Big Data.

This solution is a one-stop service utilizing Tableau products. It includes verification, maintenance and support. CTC provides support for installation, product training and instruction on accessing various data warehouses, including Hadoop.

Support is also provided for overall system implementation when expanding from Tableau Desktop to Tableau Server. CTC provides comprehensive support for the implementation of data analytics based on Tableau 8.0, and Tableau Japan provides technical support and training support. The price starts at 250,000 yen in a single use configuration as a desktop application.

In the future, CTC and Tableau will strengthen ties with services related to Big Data, and work to strengthen their ability to develop solutions and provide services aimed at enhancing the value, accumulation and utilization of Big Data in response to a variety of customer needs.
