Cambridge Semantics Upgrades to its AnzoGraph DB, Announces Free Edition for Commercial Use

BOSTON, Jan. 23, 2020 — Cambridge Semantics, the leading provider of modern data management and analytics software, today introduces significant enhancements to its standalone version of the award-winning AnzoGraph DB and announces the immediate availability of AnzoGraph DB Free Edition for commercial use. For Cambridge Semantics’ Anzo customers, AnzoGraph DB V2 immediately improves on its current performance and will power many of the new features of the upcoming Anzo 5.0 release.

The company will showcase AnzoGraph DB Version 2 with a presentation and workshop at the Global Graph Summit 2020 during Graph Day Texas on January 25 in Austin, Texas.

AnzoGraph DB is the only MPP (massively parallel processing) graph database designed to accelerate data integration and scalable analytics with graph at performance levels that compare favorably with the industry-leading data warehouse analytics products. It includes over 40 functions for regular line-of-business analytics along with views and windowed aggregates, as well as graph and data science algorithms to support in-graph feature engineering and transformations. It enables application developers to build their own custom functions and aggregates that can perform in parallel across enterprise-scale knowledge-graphs.

AnzoGraph DB is the only standards-based graph database supporting both open W3C SPARQL 1.1/RDF standards and an upcoming version of Cypher on the same data.

AnzoGraph DB Version 2 Product Highlights

  • The newly available free version runs on a single server or laptop and is available for commercial or non-commercial use. It includes support for 8GB of memory for anonymous use and 16GB of memory for users who register.
  • Data Science Algorithms – Users can leverage over 30 new feature engineering and data science algorithms (correlations, estimators, distributions, PCA, NMF, LDA, etc.) in their analytics. Included functions are powerful for data preparation and feature selection in your path to machine learning and AI.
  • Software Developer Kit (SDK) – For custom extensions using graph, AnzoGraph DB now includes an API to build your own parallel connectors and distributed algorithms in C++ or JVM-based languages. Use your proprietary algorithms or external services for analytics and predictions.
  • Performance boost – Significant improvement in analytics and transformation performance, even when scaling to billions or trillions of triples.

These enhancements build upon recently added capabilities that use labeled property graphs in RDF under the new SPARQL*/RDF* proposed standards. This newest update enables the predicates to have properties, simplifying data modeling, while addressing analytics, provenance and time series challenges.

“Over the past year, companies have recognized the power of graph databases for enabling innovations in data analytics,” said Steve Sarsfield, Vice President of Product, Cambridge Semantics. “Our AnzoGraph DB Version 2 delivers the scale required to handle analytical workloads, deployment on cloud and containers, broad analytical functions and graph-based data integration across varied data sources.”

“At Parabole, we are focused on high-value AI/ML-driven analytics insights for socially responsible investing and leveraging our NLP platform to perform analytics. After considering the leading graph database vendors, we chose AnzoGraph DB due to its standards-based approach and unbounded scalability for analytics,” said Rajib K Saha, CEO, Parabole.AI.
