Cambridge Semantics Named a Strong Performer in Independent Research Report for Big Data Fabric

BOSTON, June 14, 2018 — Cambridge Semantics, a leading provider of a universal semantic layer for big data management and connected data analytics solutions, has announced that it has been recognized as one of the most significant big data fabric vendors by Forrester Research, Inc., in The Forrester Wave: Big Data Fabric Q2: 2018 (June 2018).

The report issued this week stated that, “Unlike other evaluated vendors, Cambridge Semantics has been building its semantic layer using knowledge graph through its Anzo Graph technology. It also offers horizontally scalable ingestion and query capabilities that deliver high performance and low-latency access to real-time data sets. Customers like its ease of use, time-to-value model, catalog, platform support, and broad set of use cases.”

Cambridge Semantics was recognized as a strong performer among the 15 vendors in the evaluation. The report examined past research, user need assessments, and vendor and expert interviews to assess the current offering, strategy and market presence of each vendor in comparison to other evaluated vendors.

“Our evaluation as a ‘strong performer’ in the Forrester Wave report is, in our opinion, a testament to how Cambridge Semantics is thriving in the ‘Year of the Graph’ as a leading vendor,” said Alok Prasad, president of Cambridge Semantics. “For years, we have been developing our Anzo Smart Data Lake (ASDL) technology to offer data-intensive industries with the most efficient solution for valuable, reusable data insights.

The Anzo Smart Data Lake provides business users an end-to-end, enterprise-scale open platform that creates a single semantic layer of an organizations’ unstructured and structured data. ASDL offers several key features to enable digital transformation within businesses, including automated rapid ingestion, data cataloging, in-memory knowledge graphs and hi-res analytics for self-service interactive and exploratory capabilities.

Prasad added, “We view data fabrics as a core component for enterprises embracing machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies. Organizations will need to incorporate a data fabric for streamlined data discovery and training models. Our graph-based infrastructure provides data ingestion, data preparation, a data catalog and interactive analysis to quickly create a network of rich data and reusable insights.”
