Bright Computing’s Panos Labropoulos to Present at Amsterdam Spark Summit

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, Oct. 20 — Bright Computing, the leading provider of hardware-agnostic cluster and cloud management software, today announced that Senior Support Engineer, Panos Labropoulos has been invited to present at Spark Summit, to be held in Amsterdam, October 27-29, 2015.

Spark Summit is the premier event that brings the Apache Spark community together to hear from leading production users of Spark, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming and related projects. This is the first time that the 3-day event will take place in Europe.

Labropoulos’ presentation will focus on Distributed Data Processing Using Spark in Radio Astronomy, addressing the issue that a new generation of radio interferometric arrays will enable scientists to observe the Universe with unprecedented imaging capabilities, both in terms of sensitivity and resolution. Labropoulos will discuss the fact that imaging software is one of the important aspects for processing the high-volume data streams and is one of the best places to use Spark.
