Alteryx Announces Rapid Adoption of Analytics on AWS
IRVINE, Calif., July 7 — Alteryx, Inc., the leader in data blending and advanced analytics, announced that an increasing number of customers are utilizing Alteryx Analytics on Amazon Web Services (AWS), such as Amazon Redshift, for data warehousing and processing to deliver business insight in a shorter time. This growth in customer adoption has led to Alteryx achieving Advanced Technology Partner status in the AWS Partner Network. Alteryx focuses on empowering line-of-business analysts to be able to rapidly gain business insight using the wide range of cloud data management and analytical capabilities available from AWS.
“Our customers demand rapid approaches to getting the business insight that drives their decision making – having the ability to take advantage of the agility and power of AWS data solutions is critical to that,” said Paul Ross, vice president of product and partner marketing for Alteryx. “Joint customers like the National Trust have proven that combining data blending, advanced analytics and the power of AWS provides an even shorter path to business insight.”
“Leveraging Alteryx with Amazon Redshift has opened up new possibilities for us,” said Dean Jones, Head of Data Science at the National Trust. “The technology has allowed us to quickly and easily gain insight about our supporters, so that we understand much more about them, and then can communicate with them in a much more personalized and relevant way.”
Alteryx provides line-of-business analysts with access to data in Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) buckets, and then enables them to blend that data with other data sources, including on-premises data stores as well as other cloud data sources such as Salesforce.com, spreadsheets or other files. Once they have the analytic dataset they need, analysts can then add predictive or spatial analysis, all with no coding required. The addition of Amazon Elastic MapReduce (Amazon EMR) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) allows faster scalable computing power, resulting in quicker analytic results. These insights can then be shared with decision makers in traditional reports, Tableau or Qlik visualizations, or even written back to the likes of Amazon Redshift.
“We are seeing a significant increase in the adoption of the two products together all across the globe,” stated Ross. “There has been a recent spike in deployments in North America and specific other areas around the globe.”
“We see a lot of potential for the power of Alteryx on Amazon Redshift in the market,” said Satoshi Yokota, CEO of Classmethod in Japan. “It’s all about allowing business analysts to get to the data they need, perform rapid blending and quickly deliver business insights.”
The AWS Partner Network (APN) is a global partner program, focused on helping partners build a successful AWS-based business by providing technical, marketing, and go-to-market support. Alteryx recently became an APN Advanced Technology Partner to provide greater collaboration and enhanced solutions for joint Alteryx and AWS customers through enriched training and support.
