I’m excited to join this highly dedicated and world-class team and accelerate Tamr’s leadership role in the market.”

“Hitachi is a market leader at the intersection of innovative industrial solutions and IT services, and it is a brand trusted worldwide to deliver business, environmental and social benefits,” said Kandiah. “These attributes give Hitachi Vantara an incredible set of advantages that I believe the company and its cloud and strategic go-to-market partners are only just beginning to realize. The opportunity to lead Hitachi Vantara is a thrilling one. I am confident that if we align our broad portfolio of data storage, analytics, industry-specific solutions and IT services behind a singular vision to delight our clients, we will become a true digital leader.”

“This is an exciting time to be joining SnapLogic,” said Mogannam. “The company brings its proven technology leadership, strategic partnerships, and track record of customer success to the fast-growing enterprise automation market. All the pieces are in place, and I look forward to working with the team to get SnapLogic’s leading platform into the hands of more and more customers around the world.”

Mark Porter

MongoDB, Inc. tapped Mark Porter as chief technology officer. As CTO, he will be responsible for driving the company’s technology mission. Porter is currently serving on the board of directors and will step down to serve as CTO. Before MongoDB, Porter was CTO at Grab, Core Technology and Transport.

“I saw the mainstreaming of the relational database and have been watching how modern companies consume technology throughout my career,” said Porter. “Companies need to develop applications faster and easier and MongoDB is the database that developers most want to use. MongoDB’s document model and flexibility are vital for building modern, mission-critical applications. Instead of scaling their understanding of multiple interfaces, developers can unlock the true value of data through MongoDB’s unified platform.”

Nate Stewart

Cockroach Labs appointed Nate Stewart to its board of directors. Stewart currently holds the position of chief product officer at Cockroach Labs. Stewart will support Cockroach Labs’ mission to develop the perfect database for the cloud.  Stewart started at Cockroach Labs in May 2017 under the role of head of product.

“Customer expectations are rising, data volumes are exploding, and new markets will continue to reward speed. In this environment, developers need a flexible data platform that will enable their plans rather than encumber them,” said Stewart. “We’ve built CockroachDB from the ground up to take full advantage of the nearly unlimited resources available in the cloud. Over the last few years, we’ve helped startups and enterprises build resilient, scalable, and low-latency applications that were too difficult or too expensive to tackle with legacy relational databases. I’m honored to join the board and help continue that effort in my expanded role.

Jordan Tigani

MemSQL tapped former director of product management for Google BigQuery, Jordan Tigani, for the role of chief product officer. Tigani takes over for the company’s engineering and product teams to scale operations and expand its cloud products.

“MemSQL offers me a great opportunity to use both sides of my brain,” said Tigani. “Having been a product manager, an engineering manager, and an engineer, this role fits my background extremely well. MemSQL has enormous potential. It reminded me of BigQuery a few years ago – stellar technology, just needing a bit of polish and focus before taking off into the stratosphere. I’m excited to be a part of that journey.”
