Big Data Career Notes: June 2019 Edition

In this monthly feature, we’ll keep you up-to-date on the latest career developments for individuals in the big data community. Riccardo Di Blasio

Commvault has announced the appointment of Riccardo Di Blasio to Chief Revenue Officer. Previously, Di Blasio served as Global Head of Sales for VMware Cloud Platform Services at DXC Technology. Prior to that role, he was CEO at Globetouch, Inc and COO at Cohesity.

“Commvault’s impeccable track record of innovation, industry leadership and ecosystem of overwhelmingly passionate customers and partners made the decision to join the company an easy one,” said Di Blasio. “I am very fortunate to be joining a very high caliber leadership team that is united in its vision for solving complex data problems. I look forward to hitting the ground running to drive increased opportunities and revenue growth behind the power of Commvault’s portfolio of strategic offerings.”

Sandra Hamilton

Commvault also announced the appointment of Sandra Hamilton as Vice President of Customer Success. Hamilton comes to Commvault by way of Puppet’s Customer Success Team. Prior to Puppet, she spent nearly a decade at EMC and was a senior executive within Accenture’s Communications and High Tech Practice.

Hilarie Koplow-McAdams

DataRobot has announced the addition of Hilarie Koplow-McAdams to its Board of Directors. Koplow-Adams is a venture partner at New Enterprise Associates (NEA). Prior to joining NEA in 2017, she was Chief Revenue Officer and then President at New Relic.

“Machine learning is undoubtedly one of the most coveted software tools on the market today,” said Koplow-McAdams. “DataRobot’s unique approach to automating machine learning is helping organizations enhance their data science capabilities so they can glean optimal intelligence more efficiently than ever before. I’m thrilled to be joining such an innovative company and look forward to working with the rest of the Board to support DataRobot’s continued growth.”

Elizabeth McGlauflin

Kinetica has announced the appointment of Elizabeth McGlauflin as Chief Customer Success Officer. McGlauflin most recently served as Vice President of Customer Success at Robin.io. Prior to Robin.io, she was COO and Vice President of Customer Success at Bluescape.

“Kinetica has a bold and unique way of channeling data into smart analytical applications that are central to enterprise transformation,” said McGlauflin. “I am excited to be at the center of global transformation working in deep collaboration with Kinetica customers at such a pivotal time.”

Andrew Morris

Moogsoft has announced that Andrew Morris has been appointed Vice President of Sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Morris, who has more than 20 years of experience in technology sector sales and business development, previously directed channel sales at Splunk.

“Companies of all sizes are focusing on digital transformation initiatives to provide high-quality services continuously and consistently to their customers and transform their users’ experiences,” said Morris. “With an impressive set of marquee accounts in the EMEA region, Moogsoft is undoubtedly the most well-known AIOps platform proactively advancing incident and event management to help IT teams at small and large enterprises fix problems faster through increased collaboration and operator efficiency. I’m thrilled to join Moogsoft at a time when there is significant opportunity to further develop the market.”
