Wendy Bahr

Rubrik has announced the appointment of Wendy Bahr as chief commercial officer. “Wendy is hands down one of the most trusted and respected channel executives I have worked with during my career,” said John Chambers, Founder and CEO of purpose-driven firm JC2 Ventures and Chairman Emeritus of Cisco Systems. “Rubrik has done a fantastic job of capitalizing on the shift to cloud and the resulting proliferation of data to become a ‘must have’ software platform for enterprise IT teams. The addition of Wendy to Rubrik’s leadership team will fuel even greater growth for the company.”

“Throughout my career, I have been passionate about connecting customers, sellers and partners in a way that provides tremendous scale, mutual value and growth,” said Bahr. “Rubrik provides unprecedented value and offers enterprises a simple solution to one of their thorniest problems; managing data and applications in today’s hybrid cloud world. I am thrilled to be a part of such an innovative company and am excited to help our ecosystem embrace Rubrik and unleash the power of data.”

Paul Evans

Immuta has announced that Paul Evans has joined the company as chief revenue officer, responsible for global sales and marketing. Prior to joining Immuta, Evans spent 13 years at Alteryx where he held a number of senior leadership positions, most recently as CRO. He holds an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Rochester.

“I was drawn to Immuta because its data governance platform allows businesses to access and control sensitive data in ways that build trust across their organization and with customers—without writing any code and without slowing down the business,” said Evans. “I’m also impressed by its strong leadership team, special culture, and commitment to employee development and success.”

Scott Gnau

InterSystems has announced the appointment of Scott Gnau to head the company’s Data Platforms business unit, where Gnau will oversee the new InterSystems IRIS family of data platforms. Gnau joins InterSystems from Hortonworks, where he served as chief technology officer.

“InterSystems is leading the way in operational database management, from healthcare and financial services to logistics and beyond,” said Gnau. “I’m thrilled to have the unique opportunity to join a successful company that has consistently driven new innovations in the market to benefit both developers and end users.”

Alan Jacobson

Alteryx has announced that Alan Jacobson, former director of global analytics at Ford Motor Company, has joined the company as chief data and analytics officer. “As an analytics company, we recognize both the immense opportunity and the immense challenge in driving digital transformation. Bringing Alan on board is indicative of our investment in creating a best-in-class team so we can serve our customers in their own digital transformation journeys,” said Dean Stoecker, co-founder and CEO of Alteryx.

“Organizations can no longer rely on a select number of data scientists to uncover the insights that drive imperative business decisions. Now, with tens of millions of data workers around the world and an endless supply of data, the role of the CDO is becoming a necessity for organizations looking to stay competitive and develop a true data-driven culture,” said Jacobson. “After more than two decades at Ford, I am ecstatic to join the Alteryx family and spread the knowledge, both internally and externally, from my many years deploying the platform across a global organization.”

Myke Lyons

Collibra has announced the appointment of Myke Lyons to the newly created role of chief information security officer. Lyons most recently served as head of security strategy at ServiceNow. Previously, Lyons served in various senior security analyst and security architecture roles at Grey Group and WPP Group. “Security is of critical importance to Collibra as we help customers navigate the complexities and vulnerabilities of using the influx of data that enterprises have today,” said Felix van de Maele, co-founder and CEO for Collibra.

“The opportunity ahead is unlike any other. More and more organizations are recognizing that privacy is a basic human right, and the way it’s being addressed today is not adequate,” said Lyons. “Data should help companies solve their most pressing business problems, whether that is better engaging with customers or complying with growing regulations. At Collibra, it’s my mission to help companies do this by leveraging their IP and making data security and protection a priority.”
