Mike Fey

Mesosphere has announced the appointment of Mike Fey as CEO. Previously, Fey served as president and COO at Symantec. Fey has also served as president and COO of Blue Coat, an executive vice president and general manager at McAfee and chief technology officer of Intel Security.

“I strongly believe in Mesosphere’s mission to create transformative technology that enables organizations to innovate with multi-cloud, IoT, edge computing and machine learning” said Fey. “Mesosphere has a unique platform that will enable the future of compute and is already helping some of the most important companies in the Fortune 500 embrace the cloud. I’m excited to work with Florian and the great team at Mesosphere to deliver significant value to our customers around the world.”

Neal Silbert

DataRobot has announced the appointment of Neal Silbert as the GM of Insurance. Silbert has more than 20 years’ experience in insurance. Prior to joining DataRobot, he held leadership positions at Insurance Industry Advisors, Zurich North America, IBM, and SPSS.

“I’m excited to join an organization with such a deep history in insurance and commitment to its customers,” said Silbert. “DataRobot is the leader in automated machine learning because of its technology excellence and ability to solve the issues customers face every day. Most large insurers have reached a point where they can no longer keep up with the demand for data science projects with traditional non-automated analytics, while smaller companies need a rapid entry ramp to start developing data science solutions with their business analysts. It’s a privilege to help clients develop strategic, operational, and organizational strategies for leveraging machine learning and AI.”

Cathleen Southwick

Pure Storage has announced the appointment of Cathleen “Cathy” Southwick as chief information officer. Southwick joins Pure Storage after 21 years of service at AT&T, where she was VP of Technology Engineering and provided strategic IT leadership, led global network transformations and developed and executed a successful Cloud IaaS strategy.

“I’m extremely pleased to join the innovative and dynamic team at Pure Storage,” said Southwick. “Having had first-hand experience with Pure for a number of years, I now look forward to helping the company build on its tremendous momentum, advancing its business strategy.”

Kristian Talvitie

Talvitie has more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles geared towards driving growth and achieving financial objectives. Prior to joining Syncsort, Talvitie served as CFO at Sovos Compliance, LLC, and held a variety of positions at PTC.

“I am excited to join Syncsort’s exceptional management team and work with its strong and growing finance organization,” said Kristian Talvitie, CFO, Syncsort. “Syncsort has impressive achievements over the last few years in growing the company.
