Datanami Reveals Winners of 2018 Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards

Datanami this week unveiled the winners of the 2018 Reader’s Choice Awards, which honors the companies, products, and projects that rose to the top in the big data community this year. Also unveiled were the Editors’ Choice Awards, which gives Datanami editors a chance to honor those companies, products, and projects that also deserve recognition.

The  Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards, now in its third year, is a unique awards program that gives voice to the big data community and Datanami readers. In addition to nominating the candidates, readers are asked to cast their vote across a number of categories. Hundreds of Datanami readers participated this year, exceeding participation levels of years’ past.

The  2018 Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards contained 13 categories, ranging from Best Machine Learning Product or Technology to Best Big Data Startup. While the voting was close in some categories, we had clear winners in each RCA category.

Among the companies winning an RCA for the first time this year were Sinequa, which took home the RCA in the machine learning category, and C3 IoT, which won in Internet of Things. Tableau won for top data visualization tool for the third straight year, a feat Amazon Web Services replicated in the cloud category, while MongoDB won its second RCA, to go along with an ECA. DataRobot took home two awards this year, including an ECA for machine learning and an RCA for  data science platforms.

You can see the entire list of RCA and ECA winners at this page: www.datanami.com/2018-datanami-readers-editors-choice-awards/. We hope you enjoy reading!
