TEKsystems Launches COE Lab for Big Data for Manufacturing Offering

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Sept. 29 — TEKsystems Global Services, the IT services division of TEKsystems, today announced the launch of the Center of Excellence (COE) lab that showcases its Big Data for Manufacturing solution created using Oracle products. This solution leverages the Oracle Manufacturing Operations Center, Oracle Manufacturing Analytics, Enterprise Signal Inc.’s EnterpriseSignal Cloud and TEKsystems Global Services. It offers manufacturing organizations a comprehensive solution that provides a 360-degree view of the shop floor and allows organizations to take corrective actions in real time.

The comprehensive solution communicates with shop floor equipment utilizing Mitsubishi Electric’s MES interfacing solutions to connect to the Big Data for Manufacturing solution. This also enables virtually seamless communication between the Big Data solution and multiple manufacturers’ industrial controllers. The resulting data and analysis is made available on EnterpriseSignal’s mobility application where users are able to more effectively plan, communicate and control their shop floor assets.

TEKsystems Global Services was responsible for integrating all the components of the solution, from the machines producing the data to the EnterpriseSignal application. This can be used to collect real-time shop floor data and display the data and related analytics in an easy-to-use interface from desktop and mobile devices. The company also built end-to-end lab solutions for various verticals, including oil and gas, automobile, consumer packaged goods and others.

TEKsystems Global Services will host the COE lab at Moscone South, Booth #2021 at Oracle OpenWorld 2014 in San Francisco. Additionally, TEKsystems will host the demonstration for prospective Oracle customers at their Santa Clara, California facility and work in concert with Oracle to demonstrate the value of the solution for Oracle’s prospective customers both on site and remotely.
