SnapLogic Joins Hortonworks Technology Partner Program

SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept. 18 — SnapLogic, the Elastic Integration company, today announced that it has joined the Hortonworks Technology Partner Program and successfully completed testing to achieve Hortonworks’ Certification for SnapLogic SnapReduce 2.0. Integration with the Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) enables customers to rapidly acquire, prepare and deliver Apache Hadoop with SnapLogic’s industry-leading integration platform as a service (iPaaS).

SnapReduce 2.0 enables SnapLogic to run natively on Hadoop as a YARN-managed resource (Yet Another Resource Negotiator) that elastically scales out to power next generation analytics. With SnapReduce 2.0, SnapLogic becomes a YARN application, allowing Hadoop users to take advantage of an HTML5-based drag-and-drop user interface, breadth of connectivity and modern architecture. In addition, SnapReduce can transform SnapLogic data flow pipelines into MapReduce jobs to run on Hadoop-scale data. Key uses cases include data warehousing using big data hubs; data cleansing, preparation and wrangling for analytics; multi-source data aggregation for exploration; and data delivery of filtered data to BI tools and visualizers.

By achieving Certification, SnapLogic will simplify and accelerate the deployment of a modern data architecture with pre-built and validated integrations between leading enterprise technologies and the Hortonworks Data Platform, the industry’s only 100-percent open source Hadoop distribution. To certify partner technologies, Hortonworks reviews each product for architectural best practices, validates it against a comprehensive suite of integration test cases and performs benchmarks for scale under varied workloads, while comprehensively documenting every step in the process.
