RapidMiner Appoints Michele Chambers as President and COO

BOSTON, Mass., Sept. 16 — Pioneering predictive analytics leader RapidMiner today announced that Michele Chambers has joined its executive team as president and chief operations officer (COO). Chambers brings more than 25 years of high-tech experience to her role at RapidMiner, and is a twice-published author in the subject of modern analytics. At RapidMiner, she is responsible for marketing, products and global strategy. Chambers will report directly to RapidMiner CEO and Co-Founder Ingo Mierswa.

Chambers is an experienced thought leader in the field of analytics, with a wealth of expertise from her previous work at fast growth, venture-backed technology companies. Most recently, she held executive positions at MemSQL, Revolution Analytics and Netezza, which was acquired by IBM for $1.7B in 2010.

Most recently, Chambers was the vice-president of marketing at MemSQL, the leader of distributed, in-memory databases, where she was responsible for branding, demand generation, and marketing strategy. While at Revolution Analytics, Chambers led the strategy, product management and product marketing for the commercial distributor of R. Prior to that, as the GM and VP of Analytics, she was responsible for the phenomenally successful launch and go-to-market of Netezza Analytics, and the transition into the IBM Big Data portfolio.

Chambers holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Nova University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Duke University.
