Qlik Partners with Fujitsu To Integrate Big Data Offering

Oct. 9 — Qlik, a leader in data discovery, today announced that Fujitsu Limited has integrated QlikView into its Big Data solution, the Fujitsu Business Application Operational Data Management & Analytics (ODMA) solution, to provide improved data visualization and analysis for business users. The enhanced solution is available today in Japan only.

Fujitsu identified a growing need to use data for quick decisions among departments that are directly involved in product strategy or sales. With a focus on usability in data analysis, QlikView will be embedded into Fujitsu’s ODMA solution to offer customers a comprehensive guided analytics experience. Fujitsu will offer this product together with its expertise in utilizing Big Data.

The intuitive interface of QlikView allows business users without advanced technical skills to analyze and visualize big data through simple operations. As a result, users who work on the front lines of the business, such as those in sales or marketing, can perform their own data analysis, get a better sense of how their business is doing, and make decisions more quickly.

“Qlik is delighted to partner with Fujitsu in its Big Data initiative,” said Phillip Beniac, Regional Vice President of Qlik Asia Pacific and Japan. “There is strong synergy between QlikView and Fujitsu’s innovative capabilities in helping business users to easily explore and analyze Big Data. The resulting Operational Data Management & Analytics solution will help more businesses in Japan make better and faster decisions, becoming more agile and competitive.”

The integration of the ODMA solution with QlikView enables users to perform intuitive data analysis with the ability to freely explore data from a variety of business perspectives, including sales per store or sales per product. Combined with map views and graphs, this information can also be viewed in several easy-to-grasp formats. Furthermore, the data conversion and analytic processing on QlikView is integrated into the ODMA solution to provide an environment that is immediately usable upon deployment.

In addition, Fujitsu will be providing training services to help companies deploy, use, and make the most of QlikView. Fujitsu offers a broad array of training services that includes everything from deployment training on how to operate QlikView to support for more sophisticated analyses and operations. Training is available in a seminar-type group format or for individuals on-site. Fujitsu will also sell QlikView as a stand-alone product.
