ProKarma Joins Hortonworks System Integrator Partner Program

BEAVERTON, Ore., Sept. 2 — ProKarma, a global IT solutions company, today announced a partnership with Hortonworks, a leading contributor to and provider of enterprise Apache Hadoop, that will allow its clients to benefit from enterprise-level big data solutions, including enhanced integration capabilities around Hadoop to solve their unique business challenges.

By joining the Hortonworks Systems Integrator Partner Program, ProKarma can rely on Hadoop to help strengthen its ability to drive and lead efforts related to advanced analytics and emerging technologies, including big data, machine learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), business intelligence, operational intelligence, and data science. The Hortonworks Data Platform is the industry’s only 100-percent open source Hadoop distribution explicitly architected, built and tested for enterprise-grade deployments.

“Our global clients count on ProKarma to be at the forefront of IT solutions that address their unique business challenges,” said Vijay Ijju, CTO, ProKarma. “Joining the Hortonworks System Integrator Partner Program will help us extend our Analytics practice and enable us to build go-to-market solutions on Hadoop in collaboration with Hortonworks.”

ProKarma provides enterprise solutions, custom application development and IT infrastructure services to more than 150 companies worldwide. The company’s 2,000-plus employees in 21 offices around the world deliver technical and domain expertise across multiple platforms and industries to help enterprise companies drive productivity and efficiency and gain the most out of their technology investments.

The Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) was built by the core architects, builders and operators of Apache Hadoop and includes all of the necessary components to manage a cluster at scale and uncover business insights from existing and new big data sources. With a YARN-based architecture, HDP enables multiple workloads, applications and processing engines across single clusters with optimal efficiency. A reliable, secure and multi-use enterprise data platform, HDP is an important component of the modern data architecture, helping organizations mine, process and analyze large batches of unstructured data sets to make more informed business decisions.

“We are excited to welcome ProKarma to the Hortonworks Systems Integrator Partner Program and look forward to working with them to provide data-driven applications powered by HDP for their customers,” said John Kreisa, vice president of strategic marketing at Hortonworks. “ProKarma’s commitment to delivering simple, effective IT solutions to complex business problems creates a natural extension to add Hadoop integration services, as companies of all sizes are adopting Hadoop to support their enterprise big data projects and the deployment of a modern data architecture.”
