Paxata Certifies on Hortonworks and Grows Transform Partner Program

June 30 — Paxata, provider of the only award-winning enterprise-grade self-service data preparation platform, announced that it has achieved several major milestones within the Paxata Transform Partner Program through continued expansion of its reseller and integrator business and further advancement of its partnership with Hortonworks.

Paxata’s platform was certified Hortonworks HDP YARN ready by proving its ability to use the resources of the customer’s Hadoop system to process Hadoop data in-place, without interfering with other YARN Ready tools and applications. Paxata was also awarded Hortonworks HDP security ready certification by passing rigorous integration tests with the security frameworks for Apache Hadoop including Kerberos, Apache Knox and Apache Ranger.

“As many enterprises have more than one distribution, it is critical that we support all environments so customers can gain the true value from their data lakes,” said Prakash Nanduri, CEO and Co-Founder of Paxata. “We are excited to be partnering with Hortonworks to help ensure seamless integration of our Spark-based data preparation engine with Hortonworks distribution of Hadoop and expand our reach in the next generation data management and Hadoop markets.”

Paxata’s Transform Partner Program Sees Unprecedented Growth

Paxata also shared details about the Paxata Transform Partner Program today, which now boasts over 30 partners globally with over 100 trained and certified partner employees. The Pax Certification program includes specialized courses for Analysts, Architects and Administrators. Launched last year, the Transform Partner Program is a critical pillar of Paxata’s overall go-to-market strategy and allows regional and specialized resellers, solution developers and business intelligence system integrators to capture the market of customers with modern information management requirements.

“Within the past year, we have grown the Paxata Transform Partner Program at an unprecedented rate because we are simply open – from both a data source and a BI tool perspective,” said Chris Maddox, Co-Founder and VP, Business Development at Paxata. “As customers contemplate their disparate data preparation processes across their data management and analytic systems, they turn to their partners for an option that will scale. Paxata gives partners the fast-track to deliver a connected information layer that drives a cohesive, governed approach between all of the data and all of the analytic tools across their customer organizations.”

With a robust set of benefits including sales and marketing support, the Transform program allows partners in the ecosystem to leverage Paxata’s open platform development environment to build value-added services.

“Paxata exemplifies Trace3’s commitment to bring the best-in-class technologies to our customers and the market. Their partner program has made working with Paxata a refreshing experience as compared to many run-of-the-mill partner programs out there,” said Carey Moretti Vice President, Data Intelligence at Trace3. “Their commitment to partners is fantastic with all the right resources and partner-friendly program structure that has made adopting and working with Paxata a breeze.”

Paxata will be demonstrating the latest release of its platform at Hadoop Summit through June 30, 2016 at the San Jose Convention Center. Theater sessions will run throughout the conference, featuring modern information management use cases presented by partner and Paxata speakers.
