Objectivity Becomes Tableau Technology Partner

SAN JOSE, Calif., June 15 — Objectivity, Inc. today announced its partnership with Tableau Software to allow its ThingSpan graph analytics platform to integrate with the industry’s leading visualization software tools. This new partnership will provide customers with a robust new combined capability.

“Objectivity’s ThingSpan, in conjunction with Apache Spark and other open source components, can deliver unique scalability and graph analytics capabilities,” said Brian Clark, VP of Products at Objectivity, Inc. “Our partnership with Tableau Software makes it possible for ThingSpan users to apply powerful visual analytics to incredibly complex, highly interconnected data at petabyte scale. This visualization can be done concurrently with high-speed data ingest and correlation.”

Although ThingSpan is excellent at handling navigation and pathfinding queries on large graphs, users sometimes need clues as to how to select areas of interest, or to interpret the mass of data returned from an extensive dataset. Tableau Software has a wealth of choices that range from simple line and bar charts to scatter diagrams and maps. The combination of ThingSpan analytics and Tableau Software visualization brings the kind of visual analytics that has been developing in the Intelligence Community to other organizations and enterprises for the first time.
