nGage Labs Partners with ATU to Sponsor Data Analytics and Visualization Internship Program

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. and LITTLE ROCK, Ark., May 20 — nGage Labs, Inc., the leading provider of personalized mobile engagement solutions, in collaboration with the Business College at Arkansas Tech University (ATU) is offering paid internships in the field of Business Data Analytics and Data Visualization.

The 3-month program will give students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of Data Management and Data Visualization. Students are matched with a mentor who will serve as their guide for the duration of the program. Participants are then given a multi-disciplined overview designed to gain exposure to key technologies in the proprietary nGage Labs technology stack. Under the guidance of the mentor, participants select suitable projects out of the ongoing in-house project inventory. The project work is managed through the nGage Labs Innovation Sprint Planning process. This process will help further expose the participants to standard business practices and provide them with opportunities to interact with a broader range of nGage Labs analytic and technology associates.

“We’re very excited to partner with Arkansas Tech University in the emerging field of advanced data science to offer a unique practical experience to a passionate group of business data analytics students that will be our employees of tomorrow,” said Rod Ford, CEO, nGage Labs. “When Arkansas Tech approached us seeking input into their new Business Data Analytics degree program it was a refreshing overture as it is critical to build bridges to universities to ensure we have access to employable emerging technology skills. Several previous attempts to seek synergy in skills of graduating students with the needs of emerging growth technology companies have not yielded satisfactory outcomes. It is beyond cognizance, especially for a region where all resources should be highly aligned and optimized, that the link between academia and industry isn’t perfectly aligned. Capital formation is the oxygen of entrepreneurship but a relevantly trained, and eager work force is the fuel. The communities that understand and demand the alignment of skills supply and skills demand have emerged as the entrepreneurial and technology hubs of this country.”

“I applaud Dr. Bashaw’s leadership as Dean of the ATU Business College by inviting nGage Labs into the discussion regarding curriculum, tools, and employable skills,” Ford continues. “It was clear in the discussions that ATU is focused on successful outcomes for their students and sincerely committed to ensuring graduates can acquire knowledge based jobs by tuning their skills to the frequency of industry.”

Ford concludes, “We can’t wait to get these young people in our Analytics Innovation Center and expose them to business’ accelerating needs to understand, visualize, and action the vast arrays of first party data they manage through the interactions of their customers and their mobile devices.”

nGage Labs’ CTO, Kyle Hollaway, has oversight of this unique educational program. The program will culminate with an Intern led project presentation and review with the nGage Labs VP of Innovation, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Executive Officer.

“The nGage Labs Summer Internship Program offers an excellent opportunity for our business data analytics students to be exposed to the real-world challenges of national brands in analyzing, rationalizing, and visualizing their business data. We are gratified that nGage Labs, an exciting emerging-growth technology company, partnered with us in the evolution of our program and seeks the skills the students in our Business Data Analytics program possess,” said Dr. Ed Bashaw, Dean, Arkansas Tech University College of Business.
