MapR Continues Expansion of Free Hadoop On-Demand Training

SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 6 — MapR Technologies, Inc., provider of the top-ranked distribution for Apache Hadoop, today announced availability of a complete Apache HBase design and development curriculum on its free Hadoop On-Demand Training program. These courses can lead to HBase certification, allowing developers to deploy complex operational applications on a Hadoop data platform.

Courses in the HBase series include:

DEV 320 – HBase Data Model and Architecture
DEV 325 – HBase Schema Design
DEV 330 – Developing HBase Applications: Basics
DEV 335 – Developing HBase Applications: Advanced

Students can also apply the recently announced $500 of credit to spend on Google Cloud Platform services for completing labs with the MapR On-Demand Training program. This incentive gives students an opportunity to complete HBase course lab exercises using Google’s industry-leading cloud infrastructure at no charge, further supporting Hadoop skills development.
