Jigsaw Academy Introduces ‘Analytics for Beginners’ Course

Aug. 28 — Jigsaw Academy, the premier online analytics training academy has launched a new beginner’s course rightly titled ‘Analytics for Beginners’. The 6-10 hour course is for anyone and everyone that wants to know more about the data phenomenon sweeping the world.

Using simple language, fun examples and entertaining videos, Jigsaw Academy’s new course aims to introduce absolute beginners, or novices to the fundamentals of analytics.

“We use examples from daily life, real-life stories, interviews with analytics experts and journalistic articles, so as to appeal to everyone, even those who really have no prior analytics knowledge,” says Gaurav Vohra, CEO of Jigsaw Academy.

The objective of the course is to convey the relevance and importance of using analysis in everyday life. In terms of prior requirements, all that is needed, is a working knowledge of Excel and logical and reasoning skills. A basic understanding of regression is also covered in the course.

The over-arching case study covered in the course is based on the game of cricket. Students will help determine who is the best cricketer, Tendulkar, Dravid or Ganguly by using regression analysis.

“This is a fantastic course. The examples used really brought to life the analytics concepts,” says Ruchi Sinha (IT Head, Nevark), one of the first students of the course.
