Hortonworks Expands Systems Integrator Partner Program

SANTA CLARA, Calif.April 21 — Hortonworks, the leading contributor to and provider of enterprise Apache Hadoop, today announced an expansion of the Hortonworks Systems Integrator Partner Program to further accelerate global adoption of the Hortonworks Data Platform. The expanded program includes advanced online training systems for partners and more extensive certification requirements for ensuring an exceptional quality of service delivered to enterprises implementing Hadoop-based solutions.

Accenture, the global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, is the first global systems integrator to join Hortonworks’ Systems Integrator Partner Program at the Platinum level.

“Partners are an absolutely essential element for achieving enterprise pervasiveness of Hadoop across all vertical industries,” said Herb Cunitz, president at Hortonworks. “We have seen massive growth in the demand for trusted, expert Hadoop services on a global basis. The program enhancements will better prepare new and existing systems integrators to consult, implement and install Hortonworks Data Platform solutions to ensure that enterprises achieve their business objectives.”

The Hortonworks Systems Integrator Partner Program has been expanded to include Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze level partners, each with defined certification requirements for service delivery staff. Enterprises can now more easily identify partners that meet their specific criteria and be assured that these partners have the depth of technical expertise necessary to ensure success for their big data projects.

Accenture Analytics, part of Accenture Digital, has been collaborating with Hortonworks to help businesses manage big data since 2012 and established a formal alliance relationship with Hortonworks in July 2014.  Joining the partner program extends the collaborative commitment by both companies to make big data and analytics more accessible to organizations for insight-driven decision-making and outcomes.

“Data is a differentiator today and the companies that apply analytics to all of their data to make insight-driven decisions are better positioned to defend, differentiate and disrupt their markets,” said Narendra Mulani, senior managing director, Accenture Analytics. “To support businesses on their end-to-end analytics and digital transformation journeys, we are participating in the Hortonworks Systems Integrator Partner Program to deliver key capabilities needed to turn data into an asset, further driving insight-driven outcomes at scale for companies across industries and around the globe.”

As part of the program expansion, all Hortonworks Systems Integrator partners now have access to an extensive library of online training, specialized solution-based workshops and technical boot camps in order to accelerate and improve the Hadoop educational process for service delivery professionals.
