Elekta Chooses Qlik Sense Visual Analytics Platform

RADNOR, Pa., Jan. 12 — Qlik (NASDAQ: QLIK), a leader in visual analytics, today announced that one of the world’s leading medical technology companies, Elekta, has selected Qlik Sense to more quickly meet customer needs and gain access to vast amounts of customer information from Salesforce CRM and M3 business systems. Qlik Sense is a next-generation, visual analytics platform and was selected for providing intuitive, dynamic dashboards that enable analysis of an unlimited number of data sources.

By integrating Qlik, hundreds of users will be able to leverage the benefits of a fast, flexible, user-friendly visual analytics experience. With Qlik Sense, it is easy for users to create new feature-based apps, while the IT department maintains centralized control and management. Elekta’s Head of BI Magnus Kullenberg emphasizes that the value of Qlik Sense is that the company, including IT, marketing, sales and service organizations, receive immediate and far greater insights into customer preferences and challenges to understand performance and support strategy and forecasting.

The investment in Qlik Sense is also a step to support Elekta’s digital transformation and realize the value of data in business solutions and machines.

“Because of this, Qlik Sense was a strategic choice, since it is quick and easy to create visualizations and explore the data in depth, immediately discovering connections and studying new opportunities from different angles,” says Kullenberg.

Elekta users also get the opportunity to further develop new and existing app-driven solutions in Qlik’s platform, which now can be done very quickly in line with the organization’s needs.

“Qlik Sense will enable Elekta users to easily bring together large volumes of changing data and create dynamic dashboards to get quicker and more in depth insights into customer preferences. The platform approach offers users the best of both worlds – fast and interactive visualizations with a powerful BI engine,” says Johan Salenstedt, MD of QlikTech Nordic AB.

Qlik Sense allows individuals and businesses to see the whole story in their data. It is the newest release of Qlik’s modern, platform-based approach to business intelligence (BI). It combines the productivity of personal self-service visual data discovery with the security, scalability, and governance features of production-grade, enterprise-wide BI. With self-service possibilities for both customers and employees, the platform makes it easy to provide relevant decision support, share insights and applications, while still allowing the IT department to maintain central control.
