Datawatch Analytics Software Available on AWS

CHELMSFORD, Mass., Feb. 4 — Datawatch Corporation, the leading global provider of visual data discovery solutions, today announced that its next-generation analytics software is now available on AWS Marketplace.  Customers using Datawatch on Amazon Web Services (AWS) can enable visual data discovery on any type of data, regardless of size and structure, at real-time speeds.

As Datawatch Server is already pre-installed and pre-configured as a virtual application on AWS, companies can get up and running quickly with minimal infrastructure or IT administration costs. A business user can now quickly create visualization dashboards on their desktop, and then in a single click publish them up to the AWS cloud, where they can be used by dozens to thousands of users on browsers, tablets and smart phones.

“You can now begin to visually explore big data in a matter of minutes,” said Dan Potter, vice president of product marketing at Datawatch. “It’s an easy way for users to get started in visual data discovery and as their needs grow, they can quickly expand their computing infrastructure on AWS to improve scalability and reduce costs.”

Datawatch also announced the availability of pre-built data connectors to both Amazon Redshift and Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS).  Users can now leverage these existing data sources or upload other data into AWS’ secure and scalable warehouse for immediate exploration and visualization.

“Big data analytics is very well suited for an elastic infrastructure like AWS and we’re excited that Datawatch’s Visual Data Discovery solution is now available on AWS Marketplace,” said Terry Hanold, vice president, Cloud Commerce, Amazon Web Services. “Users can easily uncover new insights from diverse data sets of any size up to a petabyte-scale data warehouse, with the simplicity of 1-Click deployment and pay-as-you-go pricing.”

Datawatch joins the new Financial Services category on AWS Marketplace.  Datawatch visual data discovery is used by 12 of the 15 largest financial institutions in the world to analyze risk, monitor profitability, screen investments and transaction cost analysis.  Examples of financial services dashboards and visualizations built with Datawatch are now available on a live AWS instance.
