Datapipe Acquires GoGrid

JERSEY CITY, N.J., Jan. 21 — Datapipe, a global leader in managed hybrid IT solutions for the enterprise, today announced that it has acquired GoGrid, an industry leader in multi-cloud solutions for Big Data deployments. GoGrid’s proprietary orchestration and automation technologies are unique in the market, providing 1-Button deployment for Big Data solutions that speed creation and results of new cloud projects.

“GoGrid has made it easy for companies to stand up Big Data solutions quickly,” said Robb Allen, CEO, Datapipe. “Datapipe customers will achieve significant value from the speed at which we can now create new Big Data projects in the cloud. This acquisition advances Datapipe’s strategy to help our enterprise clients architect, deploy and manage multi-cloud hybrid IT solutions. ”

GoGrid has more than a decade of experience in managed cloud and dedicated hosting. In 2013, the company added a focus on Big Data infrastructure, including clustered test and production environments for a range of NoSQL database technologies. Last year, the company introduced its 1-Button Deploy orchestration process, and partnered with Cloudera to speed up enterprise Hadoop deployments.

This recent acquisition marks yet another innovative milestone for Datapipe which continues to carve out a unique space for itself in the security, integration and management of multiple cloud platforms, including AWS and its own leading hosted private cloud, Stratosphere. The company was recently named as a leader in both the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Enabled Hosting and Forrester Wave Report for Hosted Private Cloud.  Datapipe was the only global service provider to receive such distinction.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. DH Capital, LLC initiated the transaction and served as exclusive financial advisor to GoGrid.
