BlueData Joins the Nutanix Elevate Technology Alliance Partner Program

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 17 — BlueData, provider of the leading infrastructure software platform for Big Data, today announced that it has joined the Nutanix Elevate Technology Alliance Program, earning the select “Nutanix Ready” validation. BlueData’s EPIC software platform passed rigorous certification by Nutanix to achieve this validation, ensuring compatibility and interoperability for joint customers.

Today, Big Data infrastructure and applications are time consuming to deploy, expensive to manage, difficult to scale, and challenging to upgrade. Enterprises want infrastructure that delivers cloud-like agility, flexibility, scalability, and elasticity for their deployments of Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL, and Splunk — but with the performance and trusted security of their on-premises environments.

BlueData enables enterprises to implement Big-Data-as-a-Service in their own data centers, with the ability to spin up clusters in just a few mouse clicks. BlueData’s software helps to simplify Big Data infrastructure, reduce costs by up to 75 percent, and enable self-service deployment of Hadoop, Spark, and other Big Data environments in a secure multi-tenant environment.

Nutanix makes infrastructure invisible, by natively converging compute, virtualization, and storage into one solution. As a result, enterprise IT teams can focus on the applications and services that power their business. Using Nutanix, customers experience predictable performance, linear scalability, robust security, and cloud-like infrastructure consumption.

Together, Nutanix and BlueData deliver next-generation Big Data infrastructure that delivers cloud-like economics and agility, but with the security and reliability of on-premises solutions. Joint customers benefit from:

  • Big Data infrastructure and applications that can be deployed in minutes, not days or weeks.
  • Simplified and accelerated deployment for Big Data, reducing costs and eliminating the need for specialized IT personnel.
  • Performance equivalent to bare-metal Big Data implementations, while leveraging the agility of Docker containers and virtualization.

“We are excited to be working with BlueData as one of our newest partners in the Nutanix Elevate Program. They’re leading the way for a new and transformational approach to Big Data infrastructure, using containers and virtualization technology,” said Venugopal Pai, Vice President, Strategic Alliances and Business Development at Nutanix. “BlueData enables a Big-Data-as-a-Service experience for on-premises deployments, and together we can radically simplify and accelerate our customers’ Big Data journey.”

“It’s a privilege to be validated as a ‘Nutanix Ready’ partner,” said Kumar Sreekanti, CEO of BlueData. “Our mission to simplify Big Data deployments aligns well with Nutanix’s vision for hyperconverged and hyperscale infrastructure. Together, we make the infrastructure invisible for enterprises deploying Hadoop, Spark, and other Big Data environments. It’s all about the applications. Now data scientists can spin up instant clusters with just a few mouse clicks, so they can focus on analytics to deliver business insights and competitive advantage.”
