BizData Announces Big Data Partnership with Hortonworks

July 30 — BizData, a premier Microsoft Gold Partner, and first to implement Microsoft Analytics Platform System (APS) in Australia today announced a consulting partnership with Hortonworks, a certified Microsoft Technology Partner, and the only company to provide Hadoop distribution for Windows and Azure via Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP).

BizData boasts the highest number of APS trained staff in Australia, and with hands-on experience in both Hadoop and the APS Appliance, the partnership with Hortonworks reinforces BizData’s position to provide first class Microsoft Analytics and Data Warehouse solutions spanning both structured and unstructured data for clients.

With the latest release of Azure HDInsight for Hadoop earlier this year, customers can benefit from up to 100x performance improvements to query response times, whilst leveraging the convenience of rapid deployment and scale out of infrastructure in the Microsoft Cloud.

The latest version of the Analytics Platform System, as well as supporting seamless communication to a Hadoop cluster, now allows a Hadoop region to be located within the appliance itself for even faster fusion of relational and non-relational data using Microsoft’s unique Polybasetechnology.

Polybase provides key analytics opportunities to seamlessly join and query different data types and provide lower cost retention of history.

HDP for Windows, The Microsoft Analytics Platform System and Microsoft Azure provide organisations with an unprecedented number of options to realize the potential of efficiently querying massive amounts of data.

“We’ve had a long term strategy to provide first class expertise across the entire lifecycle of analytics solutions built on the Microsoft platform.  Our vision is to enable our clients with responsive and intelligent data-driven systems. We’re excited about our partnership with Hortonworks and believe it will provide a fantastic opportunity for our clients to effectively realise their Big Data vision with Microsoft.” says BizData Director of Analytics and Strategy, James Bashforth.
